The son of Ayala Corp. chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala shared his tried and tested approach in addressing problems as he takes on more responsibilities in the conglomerate.
Jaime Alfonso said that while he doesn’t have a “golden rule” for problem solving, breaking the issue down helps him think more clearly on how to address it.
“One of the major learnings that I’ve had at this age right now is that you probably want to focus on attacking the larger problems first,” the 32-year-old executive said in an interview.
“Once you attack the larger problems and make them and break them into smaller, more manageable problems, then you can deal with them in a little bit more of an easier manner,” he added.
Jaime Alfonso leads Ayala Corp.’s Business Development and Innovation units.
