Taxpayers have only one week left to file their 2022 annual income tax returns and pay the corresponding taxes before the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) April 17 deadline.
The BIR recently released guidelines for filing AITRs and tax payment, including the option for taxpayers to file and pay at any authorized agent bank or revenue collection officer, regardless of the revenue district office jurisdiction, until the deadline without penalties.
Taxpayers mandated to use the Electronic Filing and Payment System (eFPS) must file their AITRs electronically and pay corresponding taxes through eFPS-AABs where they are enrolled.
The BIR also provided procedures for filing “No Payment AITRs” and submitting attachments for electronically filed AITRs.
Taxpayers have 15 days from the tax filing deadline to personally submit attachments to the large taxpayers service/RDO where they are registered.
