The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has issued a memorandum directing its regional directors to coordinate with various government agencies for public assistance operations during the Holy Week.
The memorandum, signed by NTC Commissioner Ella Bianca Lopez, directs the agency’s directors to aid the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs), Civic Action Groups (CAGs), and Amateur Radio Groups (ARGs) in their respective jurisdictions.
Regional directors are instructed to determine any assistance that the NTC may provide, including temporary permits and licenses necessary for public assistance operations.
The NTC also calls on radio, television, and cable TV stations/operators to disseminate information regarding public assistance operations during the Holy Week properly and promptly.
