A mother who fetched her daughter at the Immaculate Conception Academy’s (ICA) Dasmariñas, Cavite campus lost her car to a robber right outside the exclusive school’s gates.
ICA Cavite confirmed the robbery in a statement, saying a masked man followed the student as she was about to board the vehicle outside the campus at around 5 p.m. of Thursday, March 29.
The school administration said the man threatened the student’s mother, who was driving the car, to “drive away quietly” with him and the student on board.
ICA said the woman managed to push the student out of the car before hopping out herself to escape the robber. The man then drove away with the car.
The mother and her daughter sustained scratches after falling on the road, the school said.
“We would like to remind everybody to take extra caution and to be mindful of the surroundings all the time,” ICA said.
“We also encourage parents and service drivers to pick up and drop off the students inside the campuses for safety reasons.”
