She’s a proud Filipina.

Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez never forgets her Filipino roots. In a recent project, she took on the challenge of decorating a dining table in Filipino style, incorporating local elements and serving traditional Filipino food.

To capture the essence of Filipino culture, Stephanie used local textiles with Filipino elements. She also incorporated tropical foliage, such as banana leaves and flowers, to add a natural touch to the table. Wood cutlery were used to decorate the table which gave it a rustic and homey feel.

Stephanie served traditional Filipino snacks such as bibingka (rice cake), puto bumbong (purple rice cake), and palabok (rice noodles with shrimp sauce). These snacks are commonly enjoyed during merienda in the Philippines, and they added a special touch to the table.

Stephanie’s dining table design not only showcased her talent as an interior designer, but it also celebrated Filipino culture and traditions
