Abacore Capital Holdings Inc., led by Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas, is partnering with China’s Shanlin Real Estate Co. Ltd to construct a resort in Batangas.
The project, located in the Montemaria Shrine, will be developed by Fluvion Real Estate Development, a joint venture company of Abacore and Shanlin. It will include a glass walkway called the Montemaria Miracle Walk, a water amusement park, and a hotel with a 360-degree view of the Bay of Batangas.
Shanlin will invest P1.5 billion to complete the resort development, while AbaCore will contribute the land for the project.
The Montemaria Miracle Walk is expected to be completed this year, while the water park is slated for completion next year, and the hotel in 2025.
The project is projected to generate around one million tourists every year and at least 1,000 jobs for the local community.
Abacore and Shanlin expect to generate an annual income of P800 million to P1 billion from the project.
Fluvion president Guoan Wu envisions the Montemaria Shrine to be a lifestyle destination for tourists who want to experience the natural beauty of Batangas and of the Philippines as well.
