President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is looking to develop P9 trillion worth of infrastructure projects during his six-year term as he inherits the Duterte-era “Build, Build, Build” Program.
The rebranded list, now called “Build Better More” or BBM, includes 194 projects approved during the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board meeting on Thursday (March 9).
Among the big ticket items on the BBM list include the construction of train lines for Visayas and Mindanao, the rehabilitation of NAIA, and the construction of a Philippine General Hospital branch in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
Of the 194 projects, 123 are new projects proposed by Marcos’ Cabinet, leaving 71 copied or continued from the previous administration.
