Mega Prime Foods Inc., a subsidiary of bilyonaryo William Tiu Lim’s canned sardines maker Mega Global Corp., is gearing up for an expansion of its product offerings with the inauguration of a new P1 billion manufacturing plant in Batangas.
The company plans to establish the facility as a hub for technological innovation, research and development to advance food manufacturing and improve its product expansions.
It also promises to maintain global standards in its food products while prioritizing food safety and quality.
Once fully operational, the manufacturing plant is expected to create more than 1,000 job opportunities, reinvigorate the local community, and boost the economy of Batangas while ensuring food security in the country.
The green facility boasts eco-friendly features such as a warehouse, a fishmeal plant with a zero-waste system, cold storage facilities, and energy-efficient lighting systems that reduce carbon footprint emissions..
Marvin Tiu Lim, MPFI’s chief growth and development officer, said the company aims to continue contributing to the growth and recovery of Filipinos in households, communities, and the nation at large, post-pandemic.
