Lucio Tan’s PNB imposes P50 for inter-region over the counter deposits

Depositing money at Lucio Tan’s Philippine National Bank (PNB) just got more expensive—if the client will be transacting at a branch that’s regions away from his or her home branch.

Beginning April 17, 2023 cash deposits to a PNB account whose home branch is located in a different region will be charged a P50 fee for every transaction worth P100,000 or less.

For example, there would be a P100 charge for a P150,000 over the counter cash deposit over the counter in a PNB branch within Metro Manila if the recipient’s account is located in Rizal or Cavite. The first P50 would cover the P100,000 transaction, while there’s an additional P50 for the remaining P50,000.

Deposits done across accounts within the same region remain free of charge.
