Bilyonaryo Robina Gokongwei-Pe found a way to joke about the friendly rivalry between the University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University in a social media post celebrating 30 years of wedded bliss.

“Happy 30th anniversary! Opposites do distract!,” Gokongwei said as she shared a photo of them watching a UAAP men’s basketball game together. “Cheers for more years.”
Gokongwei studied at UP and serves as one of the Fighting Maroons’ benefactors while her husband graduated from ADMU.
Pe is currently a senior partner at the Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & De Los Angeles law firm.
Ateneo and UP recently faced off for the UAAP men’s basketball championship trophy in a nail-biting match tagged as the “Battle of Katipunan.” The title was won by the Jesuit-run university.
