PAL Interclub returns next week

The Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub will be back next week for its 74th tournament which will be held in different courses in Cebu City.

Alta Vista and Club Filipino de Cebu will host the seniors while Cebu Country Club and Club Filipino de Cebu are the venue for the regulars of the two week event of bilyonaryo Lucio Tan’s airline company.

More than 1,500 players representing 178 squads are expected to be at the Queen City of the South and compete in the unofficial national team championship, which was shelved for two years due to the COVID pandemic.

Canlubang starts its defense of its Seniors’ crown on Tuesday, Feb. 22 against a host of challengers led by rival Luisita.

The Seniors’ event has drawn a total of 100 teams, nearly half coming from the United States, Canada, the Middle East, and Malaysia, among others.

Lee wins LIV Tucson event

New Zealand’s Danny Lee ended his eight-year title drought with victory in a playoff to win LIV Golf’s Tucson event on Sunday.
