Two media personalities have taken to social media to complain about the inefficiencies of flying with Philippine Airlines (PAL).
Actress and Quezon City Councilor Aiko Melendez expressed dismay upon learning that her Rimowa check-in luggage had been damaged after flying with the flag carrier.
“Philippine Airlines what happened with our luggage? Our belongings should be treated with care. It was not a full flight, but I’m wondering what went wrong,” Melendez wrote.
“Rimowa is known to be a heavy-duty luggage it takes a lot of force for this be damaged,” she added.
Sports journalist Dyan Castillejo likewise shared her disappointing experience with the Lucio Tan-owned airline.
“Sadly the hassles, stress , inconveniences and poor service of flying with @flyPAL are never ending from any point,” she tweeted. “What creates more sting is the sky high rates charged.”

PAL said it has reached out to Castillejo and will look into the incident.
Bad experiences of flying with PAL cast its tagline of being the “Heart of the Filipino” in a bad light.
