Gas leak suspected: 5 hurt in explosion at WalterMart Quezon

At least five people were hurt in an explosion that rocked WalterMart’s branch in Quezon province on Friday (February 3).

According to a report by dzBB radio, the blast at the supermarket chain owned by the bilyonaryo Sy-blings and the Lim family happened sometime in the afternoon.

Social media posts showed the blast was so strong that a portion of the outdoor ceiling in one portion of the building flew off.

Investigators are initially looking at a gas leak as the cause of the explosion.
