Bilyonaryo Ramon S. Ang had the chance to personally congratulate the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings after the team won the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The cagers donned their red champion shirts during a courtesy call to Ang’s office at the San Miguel headquarters on Wednesday (January 25). Joining the basketball players were their coach, Tim Cone, and big boss Al Francis Chua.
The Gin Kings won the championship after a seven-game series against Hong Kong’s Bay Area Dragons, the guest team in the recently concluded PBA season.
Lucky SMC employees got to take photos and ask for autographs with key role players, such as Finals MVP Christian Standhardinger. It seems, however, that their standout player Justin Brownlee is absent for the day.
“Thank you Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings for taking time out from a well-deserved break to visit your SMC and Ginebra San Miguel family. We are all so proud of you!,” the San Miguel president, chairman and CEO said.
“You continue to inspire us with your never-say-die spirit, dedication to excellence, and teamwork. Keep up the good work!”
