Beginning March 30, EVA Air will launch daily nonstop flights from Taipei to Clark.
The addition of Clark International Airport, which is about 80 kilometers or 50 miles from the Manila Airport, will boost EVA Air’s flights to the Philippines to 35 a week.
The Clark service will also reduce travel time from the airport to popular northern Luzon Island beaches and resorts.
Meanwhile, AirAsia Philippines has resumed its Kaohsiung, Taiwan route to serve the rising demand for leisure travelers and overseas Filipino workers.
“Our return to Kaohsiung signals an auspicious and positive welcome to the year of the Rabbit. Before the pandemic, this route and Manila-Taipei had immensely contributed to our growth with its consistently high traffic demand, especially among leisure travelers and overseas Filipino workers who are always searching for the best value deals,” said Ricky Isla, Airasia Philippines CEO.
“We look forward to reopening more international routes and air travel in the Eastern Region of Asia,” he said.
AirAsia Philippines is also set to open its Tokyo route next month.
