The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) has thumbed down Carmen Copper’s refund claim amounting to P36.1 million.
In its petition for review, Carmen Copper said the Commission of Internal Revenue failed to give sufficient factual and legal reasons for the denial of P36.112 million in administrative claim.
Carmen Copper asked that its claim for refund be deemed fully granted as a necessary consequence.
A refund claim of P48.2 million was initially filed by Carmen Copper with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
However, only P12 million was granted for refund.
Carmen Copper then appealed the denied portion of its claim amounting to P36.112 million.
The CTA said it disagreed and is not persuaded with the evidence submitted in the petition, thus the denial.
