Sean Ramos shoots a 68 in the opener of AT Q-School Section D

By Adrian Flores

Sean Jean Ramos quest for an tour card began on the right track as he sizzled with a four-under-par 66 that placed him in a share of fourth spot at the start of the Asian Tour Q-School Section D at the Thana City Country Club in Bangkok, Thailand Wednesday.

Ramos buckled down to work with three birdies, including two straight on Nos. 17 and 18, then had two more on Nos. 2 and 7 to negate a bogey on the 12th for that wonderful round.

In a video conference with his coach Norman Sto Domingo, Ramos said he is comfortable with his current swing and only needs to put a little work on his grip.

The coach responded: “keep it light all the time, especially whenever you feel pressure coming in.”

Matthew Negri of the US is atop the leaderboard with a 64.

Dino Villanueva, the other Filipino in the field, is at 56th after a 77.
