Castro triumphs in Riviera Junior

Zach Castro won the Class A Boys crown by 14 shots in the rain-shortened second Riviera Junior Golf Tournaments held at the Riviera Golf Club in Silang, Cavite.

Castro made a five-over-par 76 in the first day then a 42 (in nine holes) to be at 118. Enzo Espartero placed second with 132 (88 and 44) at the Langer course.

The two-day event, organized by Riviera Jungolf and played within NGAP’s National Stroke Play Championship, was cut short due to rain in the afternoon.

The other winners were: Jakob Taruc (B-Boys), Matthias Espina (C-Boys), Chan Ahn (D-Boys), Ryuji Suzuki (E-Boys), Kenzo Gavin Tan (F-Boys), Tiffany Bernardino (C-Girls), Aerin Chan (D-Girls), Kami del Mundo (E-Girls) and Teffie Carandang (Special Division).
