Rianne Malixi slipped down the standings after two days in the Women’s Orlando International Amateur held at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Florida.
Malixi fell to 20th spot with a 144 total. She would need a huge game in the final 18 holes as she is 10 shots down from American Megan Schofill, who sparkled with a seven-under-par 65 and 134.
The ICTSI-backed lass could not hole out birdie putts in the last eight holes and even bogeyed twice in the last five.
Despite that, Malixi safely advanced to the final round and remained hopeful she could sustain momentum in the Annika Invitational scheduled from January 15-17 at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando.
