After three runner up finishes in 2022, Rianne Malixi starts her new year strong.
She fired one one-under-par 71 in the Women’s Orlando International Amateur held at the Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Florida.
Malixi was steady in the outward nine, making pars for an even 36.
The 16-year-old, ICTSI-backed golfer then made three birdies against two bogey to clinch the 20th spot.
Leading the pack is Virginie Ding, who turned in a 66 built around seven birdies with a solitary bogey on the card.
Ami Gianchandani and Alice Hodge of the US tied for second place with 67s.
