With the Philippine Golf Tour of ultra bilyonaryo Enrique K. Razon, local men and women professionals have been engaging in pockets of small tournaments to still earn during the lull and to keep in shape in the coming 2023 PGT Tour.

A best ball event for pros and amateurs will happen on Thursday, December 29, at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club in Laguna.

Ira Alido and amateur Joey Huerva will team up and go up against the tandems of Echavez-Rupert Zaragosa, Jet Mathay-Ryan James Lam, Rey Bolano-Dino Villanueva, amateur brothers Jolo and Jonas Magcalayo and Jay Bayron-Clyde Mondilla.

Over at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club, Sta. Lucia Realty’s huge golf complex with four golf courses in Cavite, the Professional Golfers Association of the Philippines (PGAP), will conduct a pro-am tourney at the par-72 Aoki championship layout.

Each team is composed of a pro and an amateur partner. Format of play is best-ball. Regular pros will tee off at the gold tee, senior pros (50 to 59) blue tee, senior pros (60 and above) white tees, lady pros white tee, men amateur and junior golfers blue tee and women amateurs red tee. Tee off time is 7:30 a.m.
