Vice President Sara Duterte willingly allowed Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman to have her shining moment during the signing of the 2023 national budget.

Malacañang protocol dictates for the Vice President to always stand beside President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. but Duterte made an exception by grabbing Pangandaman by the arm to switch places with her during the class picture of the Cabinet during the signing ceremony.

The Palace photographer interfered and told them to switch positions, but the Vice President was not having it. Duterte startled Pangandaman when she grabbed her arm and pulled her to the left so she could stand in between her and Marcos.

Pangandaman thanked Duterte for the kind gesture, which showed how ready the Vice President was to share the spotlight with her fellow government workers.
