The top guns of PLDT (TEL) went thrift shopping in the stock market on the day the country’s largest telco suffered its steepest fall.
Bilyonaryo Manny V. Pangilinan and TEL president and CEO Al Panlilio bought 3,000 TEL shares each on December 19.

Panlilio bought at P1,270 each while Pangilinan purchased at a price range of P1,235 to P1,269.
On that day, TEL fell nearly 20 percent to P1,192 after revealing a P48 billion overspending at the close of trading on Friday, December 16.
This was TEL’s biggest single-day loss since 1990 and it wiped out over P60 billion in paper value.
