Even though she’s a master chef in her own right, Chef Margarita Fores still discovers new recipes every now and then.
She recently spent a day in her hometown Maao and discovered “Ma-ao cooking.”
“There is KBL, Kadyos, Baboy, Langka , but there is also BBL! Balatong Lamigas, Baboy and Langka was an absolute game-changer for me!,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
Fores said the best Ilonggo fare would be the Balatong grains that “come from Ilonggo string beans that are super , braised with Front-end pig’s feet and raw jackfruit cooked over firewood.”
