Third telco player DITO Telecommunity Corp. of Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy is pursuing its aggressive expansion as it aims to double its subscriber base in 2023.
DITO chief administrative officer Adel Tamano, said it now has over 14 million customers, exceeding its 12 million target for the year.
“For next year, we want to double that,” he said.
Tamano said DITO reached a population coverage of 74 percent.
DiTO spent over P150 billion for the initial rollout of its infrastructure and other operating expenses as part of its five-year commitment to invest P257 billion to achieve 55 mbps of internet speed, covering 84 percent of the population.
