Wawa JVCo, a unit of ultra bilyonaryo Enrique K. Razon’s Prime Infra, is looking to complete the second phase of its P26-billion bulk water supply project by 2025 following the inauguration of the project’s first phase.
Phase 1 of the Wawa Bulk Water Supply project, which is the Tayabasan Weir located in Antipolo City, is designed to deliver an initial 80 million liters per day (MPD) of raw water to Manila Water Co. Inc. and Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System.
Construction of phase 2 or the Upper Wawa Dam, meanwhile, is ongoing and is targeted to be finished by 2025.
The project will be able to supply at least 518 MLD per day of raw water once phase 2 is completed.
WawaJVCo is a joint venture between Prime Infra and Violago-owned San Lorenzo Ruiz Builders and Developers Group Inc.
