Bilyonaryo Jacinto Ng’s Rebisco recently got a bad reputation, no thanks to its sponsored Choco Mucho volleyball players’ snub of starstruck fans in Boracay.
A now-viral video showed none of the players acknowledging the fans who gathered to see them board a shuttle bus after a short vacation on the island.
Among the athletes drawing flak for the treatment of fans were volleyball stars Deanna Wong, Kath Tolentino, and Maddie Madayag.
Even GMA Network host Kim Atienza expressed his dismay, pointing out that the girls’ cold behavior to fans reflected badly on Rebisco.
“This team should be advised that catering to fans is a responsibility, otherwise, stay out of the public eye and play privately. What an irritating yet sad sight. I hope they are advised by their sponsors to act properly in public,” Atienza wrote.
Di naman cguro kc nakakapagod un isang kaway lang sa mga fans..mababaw lng naman kaligayahan ng mga yan..isang kaway lng masaya na.

I think @RebiscoVBallPH need nyo na magsalita about sa issue. Madami na kasing nakikisali na mga personalities about dito sa issue na to. Masyado na kasing pinapalake yung issue eh. Kawawa yung buong team. 🥲🥲🥲 pic.twitter.com/uiekZFM9Fw

“Good or Bad still a publicity sa REBISCO kaya dedma cguro sila,” one said.
Rebisco also owns another team in the Philippine Volleyball League: the Creamline Cool Smashers led by Alyssa Valdez.
Choco Mucho is out of the medal contention while Creamline is still in the running for a bronze medal after being last season’s champions.
