The Department of Agriculture (DA) is considering lifting the ban on imported pampano and pink salmon in wet markets.
“To assure you, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has considered recalling the implementation of the ban,” DA deputy spokesperson Rex Estoperez said.
He said BFAR would meet with stakeholders and that an announcement shall soon be made.
The DA-BFAR earlier said it was ramping up its market monitoring, inspection and confiscation of illegally diverted imported fish products.
