Baguio—The senior teams in the championship divisions (FIL and AM) will switch courses as they return to action on Wednesday for the third round in the 72nd Fil-Am Men’s Invitational.
The FIL division, with Manila Southwoods on top, will go to Baguio Country Club while AM division, with Alpha Phi Omega as frontrunner, heads to the Camp John Hay Golf Club, which is regarded as the world largest amateur golf by the Guinness Book.
Camp John Hay Hotels, meanwhile, remained in control of the Fil-A division as it maintained a seven-point lead over Hotel Bahia.
CJHH collected 22 from Monet Garcia, 19 from Federico Mandapat and a pair of 15 from Shean Bedi and Ronnie Samaniego for 71 for the day and 282 in 54 holes.
Tony Olives led Hotel Bahia (275) with 20 and was supported by Raoul Jorge’s 19 and 18 each from Dasen Chen and Rudy Amata.
Camp John Hay Team 1 has virtually pocketed the title in Fil-B after racing to a whopping 53-point lead against Baguio Country Club Team.
CJH assembled 96 points for 326 while BCC collected 85 for 273. Scorers for John Hay were Dai Tsuchiya 26, John Marasigan 25, Villamor Bumanglag 23 and Bayani Tecson 22.
