Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong led the hitting of the ceremonial balls two days before the start of the seniors competition in the 72nd Fil-Am Men’s Invitational.

Magalong, himself an avid golfer, Fil-Am Foundation board of trustee members Engr. Eliseo Lagman and Freddie Mendoza and executive committee co-chairman Anthony de Leon and Jude Eustaquio took turns in the tradition at both the Baguio Country Club and Camp John Hay Golf Club.

More than 600 senior golfers from a mix of 125 local and foreign teams are expected to take part this week (November 26 to December 1), a prelude to the premier regular men’s play from December 3 to 11.
