By Adrian Flores

Riviera Golf Club, one of the beautiful golfing hubs in the South, celebrated its 25th year anniversary with several activities over the weekend.

Its board of directors, led by president Alex Escalona, opened a historical gallery where the club’s history is shown.

Riviera also launched a coffee table book, which took months to prepare as the management made sure that some old but fascinating photos of the club’s beginnings and up to the present are printed.

As for the much awaited tournament, December Sanchez and partner Ezekiel Sanchez won the overall crown in the member-guest golfest.

The Sanchez duo scored an aggregate 131 points on both the Langer and Couples championship courses. They won by six points over the tandems of Lindsey Salilig-Mike Igarash and Raul Ilagan-Judd Roy.

As consolation, Salilig and Igarash took home the Class A title.

The other winners were Edward Villanueva-Jerry Buerano in Class B, Ilagan and Roy in Class C and Eden Hernandez and Maria Lyss Santos in Ladies.
