Japan continues to lord it over the 29th Nomura Cup despite slowing down to its highest output in three days even as the Philippines remains at the middle of the pack in the standings at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Carmona Cavite.
The Japanese amateurs shot 139 in the three-to-play, two-to-count format to hike the total to 413 in the tournament more known as the Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship.
Singapore is a surprise second so far with 416 after assembling 135.
Korea is two strokes down with 141-418 for solo third. New Zealand (138-419), eight ahead off the defending champion Thailand (136-427) and 10-time Nomura winner Australia (142-427).
The Philippines, represented by Kristoffer Arevalo, Elee Bisera and Cobi Rolida, is running ninth with 143-435.
