Self-styled publicist Lana Faith Johnson, who allegedly fleeced P30 million from bilyonaryo heir Victor Consunji, was released from the Taguig City Jail Tuesday (November 15) after posting a P35,000 bail.
Johnson is facing a complaint for falsification of documents, for which she posted bail. She is accused of issuing an unauthorized receipt for P82,500 to a client inside Acacia Estates, a residential complex developed by DMCI Homes, the real estate firm owned by Isidro Consunji, Victor’s father.
Accompanied by her mother and a relative, Johnson told Bilyonaryo after walking out of jail that three other complaints filed by Consunji’s trusted aide, Bernabe Alejandro Mendoza, were dismissed by the Office of the City Prosecutor for lack of evidence.
In a brief interview with Jonhson she confirmed the dismissal of the other complaints.
“ Yes they were dismissed,” in a short reply to Bilyonaryo.
Johnson worked as the marketing and public relations head of Victor Consunji Development Corp. (VCDC) while managing her own PR firm, Johnson and Associates.
Consunji’s estranged wife, former beauty queen Maggie Wilson, alluded to Johnson’s arrest in a recent Instagram post.
“Surprise, surprise, another one reveals its true colours. I’ve warned you about her for years. I tried to protect you but instead you chose to believe her over me. I always had your back and best interests. A woman’s intuition is always right,” part of Wilson’s caption read.
Actress Denise Laurel revealed in the comments section of Wilson’s post that she was also scammed by Johnson, saying she “never made a cent and got stuck in sticky situations” after helping the self-styled publicist.
