Gone with the wind: Converge subscribers complain of service outage after Paeng

Converge ICT subscribers are flooding social media again with complaints of lost internet connection after severe tropical storm Paeng.

Netizens are hating on the fiber internet company of Pampanga businessman Dennis Anthony Uy, which shut off the comments section of the firm’s IT Support page.

“@Converge_CSU I have sent multiple DMs and yet no one is responding to my issue. We still don’t have internet connection here in Taguig. No notice or message from you why. Please look into this matter ASAP,” Twitter user @simplemimai said, calling out Converge for being unresponsive.

As of Monday, October 31, there are reports of poor or no internet connection in parts of Metro Manila, Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga, and Cavite, to name a few.

Others are seeking help for response teams after fiber cables were cut by falling debris due to Paeng’s strong winds.
