Ayala-led Globe has fully restored its network in the National Capital Region following the wrath of severe tropical storm Paeng over the weekend.
Globe said that as of today, its call, text and data connectivity in all Metro Manila areas where service was affected by the storm has been fully restored.
It has also fully restored its services in Laguna, Palawan, Masbate and Western Samar.
Meanwhile, restoration efforts are ongoing in other Paeng-stricken provinces which are still experiencing power outages and mobility challenges due to impassable roads.
Globe said areas nearing full completion include Albay, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Palawan, Sorsogon, Bohol, Guimaras, Leyte, Negros Oriental, Northern Samar, Siquijor and Southern Leyte.
“We are working through limitations such as continuing commercial power failure and obstructed roads in affected provinces, but we’re doing the best we can to bring our services back up in these areas,” Globe chief sustainability and corporate communications officer Yoly Crisanto said.
Globe has established free call and charging stations in the Capiz and Marinduque, and has also sent immediate support such as free connectivity and medical aid to affected families.
