National Grid Corp. of the Philippines has started to mobilize its team to speed up post-severe storm restoration works.

It has deployed almost 600 personnel, or 73 linegangs and four choppers to expedite line inspections.

As of 10AM today, transmission services to Sorsogon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Laguna, Samar, Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Antique, and Aklan have been restored.

The entire province of Aurora, and parts of Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Quezon, and Batangas in Luzon are still for restoration.

Restoration schedules for the remaining affected lines will be released while damage assessment is ongoing. When possible, restoration works are done simultaneously with the line patrols.

NGCP, headed by bilyonaryo Henry “Big Boy Sy and Robert Coyiuto said transmission services only extend to the level of cooperatives or distribution utilities.
