Marcos picks ex-Transport chief Tugade’s son to head Manila airport authority

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed the son of former Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade as acting general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

The Office of the Press Secretary confirmed the appointment of abogado Jose Arturo “Jay Art” Tugade Wednesday (October 26).

MIAA operates the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the country’s biggest gateway.

The younger Tugade replaced Cesar Chiong.

Tugade served as Transportation Secretary of Marcos’ predecessor, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
