Saso earns top 10-finish with late burst in BMW Championship

Yuka Saso looked great with a three-under-par 67 to finish in a tie for eighth at the BMW Ladies Championship at the Oak Valley Country Club in South Korea.

Saso ended her campaign on 11-under 277, 10 shots from the winner New Zealand’s Lydia Ko, who fought back and scored 65 for 267 thus earning her $300,000.

The Filipina Japanese, champion of the 2021 US Women’s Open, birdied the first two par-5 holes and added another on the par-3 seventh hole to reach the turn on 3-under.

She countered a double bogey on the 12th with an eagle on the 15th before finishing with pars on the last three holes.

WGAP to host 43rd Queen Sirikit Cup

The Women’s Golf Association of the Philippines (WGAP) is all set to host the Amateur Ladies Asia-Pacific Invitational Golf Team Championship from February 20-24 at the Manila Southwoods Golf in Carmona, Cavite.
