Former president Rodrigo Duterte led the opening ceremony of Isuzu Philippines’ newest showroom and dealership in Davao City on Monday (October 17).
The Japanese car brand, whose local franchise is partly owned by the Ayala and Yuchengco Groups, tapped Duterte and some of his closest allies to grace the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Isuzu Philippines president Noburu Murakami.
Isuzu Davao expanded its space with the construction of a new building. Duterte also took the stage to congratulate the brand for the expansion of its branch in his bailiwick.
Duterte arrived at the venue aboard a Chevrolet Colorado, which is a product of Isuzu’s tie-up with American brand General Motors.
