The National Final of the G&W World Amateur Golfers Championship will tee off Tuesday at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.
Winners of the more than a dozen local qualifiers in the last three months will converge in one golfest to determine the players who will represent the Philippines to the World Final in Kuala Lumpur from November 12-19.
Those who will make it (Divisions 1 to 5) will be flown to Malaysia free of charge by the WAGC Philippines, in partnership with G&W Clubshares Inc. and Golf Batangas.
The WAGC is the biggest amateur competitions in the world, attended by at least 60 countries annually.
The Philippines has had successes in 2018 and 2019 in various divisions. The streak was cut as the event had been sidelined due to the pandemic.
