Lisa Sarines scored a six-over-par 78 in the final round to complete her rally and claim the title in the TGA-SINGHA Junior Golf Ranking tournament held at the Hua Hin Golf Course in Thailand.
Sarines submitted a three-over 75 (153) on opening day and was one stroke down. But she made pars in the last two holes, the 17th to tie her for the lead and the 18th to beat Thai Nachat Piyaworasak (80-154) by one in the Girls’ Class D.
Mona Sarines, Lisa’s twin, made it a double celebration for the Philippines after carding a 73 for 156 and placed third.
Vito Sarines was tied sixth in the Boys Class D.
“If not for Mona’s first day 83, we could have won 1-2,” said father Arnold Sarines, who with wife Midang, accompanied their children.
