Nanisi pa! Metrobank throws Bancnet under the bus for poor service

The Ty-blings’ Metrobank is blaming BancNet for the delayed crediting of fund transfers made through their mobile app to other banks, which has led to complaints from clients.

“Due to BancNet’s system maintenance, your recipient may experience delays in your Send Money via InstaPay transactions on Metrobank Online and the Metrobank Mobile App. Please check with your recipient if they have received the fund transfer,” Metrobank said in a weekend advisory.

Metrobank advised clients to consider using PESONet, another fund transfer platform, to send money to other banks.

“A PHP 50 service fee applies. Cut-off time is at 3:00 PM on weekdays. Funds are credited within 1-2 banking days,” the bank said.

Several clients have complained for days that funds they transferred via Instapay through Metrobank’s app were not credited in real time.

“Amount transferred from Metrobank to Gcash still not reflecting. Useless customer service via email, just an auto response!,” user Clarissel Eugenio Ocampo said on Tuesday.

“Ok lang. sana kung walang charges ang pag transfer. Kayo pinakamataas na Charges sa pag transfer. Anong petsa na. Need namin iyong funds,” Ky Valencia added.
