Fast and furious friends: Inigo Zobel, Kevin Tan, ‘5-6 magnate’ Rajan Uttamchandani joined Bongbong’s Singapore GP trip

Bilyonaryos joined President Bongbong Marcos and his family’s clandestine “networking” trip to the Singapore Grand Prix last weekend.

A Babbler said part of Marcos’ elite posse during the Formula One event includes Top Frontier Investment Holdings chairman Iñigo Zobel, Alliance Global vice chairman and CEO Kevin Andrew L. Tan, Esquire Financing chairman and CEO Rajan “Piku” Uttamchandani.

Babbler said Tan, a super car enthusiast, is a regular at the Marina Bay circuit. “They have a house in Sentosa Cove for more than a decade now so Singapore is his second home,” Babbler said.

Babbler said Uttamchandani hosted dinner for Marcos and his group during his two-day stay in the city-state.

Babbler said Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos were billeted at the Marriott courtesy of the Singapore government. Liza earlier stayed at the Hilton because she flew two days ahead of Marcos.

Their son, Congressman Sandro Marcos, arrived in Singapore Saturday morning with his bae, Alexa Miro.

Marcos described his visit to Singapore as “productive.”

“It was fulfilling to have been invited alongside several dignitaries and to have met new business friends who showed that they are ready and willing to invest in the Philippines. Will be sharing more details on this at a later time,” he said

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said Marcos was “performing his role as president” during the Singapore visit. “Whether it was a fully paid trip or not is irrelevant,” said Bersamin.

Bilyonaryo.com broke the news of Marcos’ plan to watch the Singapore GP upon the invitation of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom Teddy Boy Locsin defended the President’s weekend getaway: “Good God look at the company he keeps. The leader of the state of Singapore—the government that works.”
