Clients of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) complained about the scheduling of the bank’s system maintenance after Instapay fund transfers failed to proceed in real time.
The Ayala-owned lender rolled out a system maintenance from the evening of Friday, September 30 and removed the option for interbank fund transfers. The portal was reopened Saturday midnight, but customers have been complaining until Sunday that their transactions have not been credited to the destination accounts.
“38k from sending ub to bpi wala pa din ano na!!!we are not happy,” Facebook user Lea Roda said, putting her complaint on BPI’s official page.
Another said: “Alam nyo BPI, dapat di kayo gumagawa ng update during weekends. Wala man lang kasing options ang mga customer. as in nganga na lang talaga hanggang sa susunod na business day.”
Clients who made their transactions on September 29 claim they haven’t received the money over the weekend, even if Instapay transfers should have been credited in real time.
Others said the BPI app remains inaccessible a day after the system update completion.
“BPI ano na? Please fix the issue with ios16 users. You cant just ignore us or let this issue go on for days. We cannot use our funds kasi hindi gumagana ang mobile key. Please lang po, may mga taong nangangailangan ng funds for emergency purposes, maawa naman kayo,” a netizen pleaded.
