Undefeated world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. had the chance to sample Filipino street food and eat on the street when he visited the hometown of Frontrow founder Sam Verzosa recently.
As part of Mayweather’s trip to the Philippines, Verzosa invited Mayweather to Sampaloc, Manila, where the Tutok to Win party-list congressman grew up.
“Never ever forget where you came from, Im always proud to come from this neighborhood kaya dinala namin si Floyd Mayweather sa street namin sa Sampaloc, Manila. Sa kalye lang kami nag dinner at tumambay,” the politiko said.
Versoza laid out a family-style meal with grilled chicken, hotdogs, rice, and even dirty ice cream for the full Pinoy experience.
Mayweather supposedly labeled the trip as “his best Experience in the Philippines and in ASIA so far.”
“Maraming-maraming salamat sa mga ka-barangay ko at pinakitaan natin c Mayweather ng tunay na hospitality at respeto ng mga Pilipino. Im always proud na Batang Sampaloc ako,” Versoza added.
Mayweather is in Manila on Versoza’s invitation to inaugurate Frontrow’s new headquarters.
