Police have arrested the driver and bodyguard of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. executive Rose Nono Lin in connection with a shooting incident at Forbes Park, Makati which left two people dead.
Julius Cortez allegedly shot his colleagues, identified as Jay Ar Tomenio and Eugene Sitjar, inside Lin’s home along Narra Street Monday (September 27).
Cortez was allegedly incensed after he failed to get his food upon arriving at Lin’s home. He was reportedly drunk.
According to the police report, Sitjar was shot in the head while Tomenio sustained a gunshot wound in the waist. They both died.
Lin’s bodyguard was tracked down by the police after another security guard told the police of his whereabouts. Found in his possession were a .40 caliber gun and two magazines loaded with 15 rounds of live ammunition.
During the Duterte administration, Lin was investigated by the Senate for her role as treasurer of Pharmally, which was tagged in alleged anomalous pandemic-related contracts of the government. She ran for congresswoman of Quezon City’s fifth district but lost.
