Residents of the country’s most expensive neighborhood were shocked by a shooting incident within their ultra exclusive enclave on Monday night, September 26.
Based on an incident report by the Ayala police sub-station, the shooting happened in the house allegedly rented by losing congressional bet Rose Nono Lin, treasure and incorporator of controversial supplier Pharmally, at 14 Narra Street, South Forbes Park.
At 8:00 p.m. Monday, a house driver, Julius Cortez, allegedly shot another driver, Eugene Sitjar, and security guard, Jay Ar Tomenio. A SWAT team and tactical motorcycle riding units (TMRUs) of the Philippine National Police were deployed at 9:20 p.m.
Lin’s house is just across the home of Duterte economic adviser Michael Yang on 19 Narra Street. Yang is allegedly a major player in the Pharmally scam which is why residents have called the place “Pharmally Row.”
President Bongbong Marcos has a family mansion on the same street.
According to other members of the same household staff, the suspect was drunk and looking for a dish in the kitchen when they heard a gun shot which struck the two victims.
The suspect has already been arrested and is now in police custody.
The victims were immediately brought to a hospital by an ambulance.
