Yosi Tanco, cousin, daughter jack up STI stakes as school continues bounceback from pandemic

Bilyonaryo Eusebio “Yosi” Tanco and his kin bought a total of P7.3 million shares of STI Education Systems Holdings (STI) over the last three months.

Tanco, the STI chairman, snapped up a total of 5.08 million shares at a price range of 32.5 centavos to 34 centavos from September 15 to 21.

His cousin, STI director Martin Tanco, hauled in 13.383 million shares at a price range 32 centavos to 34 centavos from August to September.

Tanco’s daughter, STI director Vanessa Rose Tanco, bought 2.59 million shares at 33 centavos each in July.

STI posted P241 million profit in the first nine months of fiscal year ending June 2022, up 193 percent from P82 million during the same period last year.

STI got hammered in the pandemic, posting losses of P221 million in FY ending June 2020.
