President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his entourage including House Speaker Martin Romualdez, son Sandro Marcos and Antonio Lagdameo Jr. were spotted stepping out of the Carlyle Hotel in New York, one of the poshest hotels in the Big Apple.
The Carlyle has long been established as one of the most luxurious accommodations in New York. It is located in the heart of Madison Square and with a rich history that dates back to 1930.
According to CNN Philippines, the group was headed to a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden to discuss several key issues of cooperation.

In a readout of the meeting provided by the White House, the US affirmed its commitment to the defense of the Philippines as it discussed issues on the South China Sea.
Talks also centered on energy security, climate action, and infrastructure as well as the impact of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
