Another milestone achieved: Dennis Uy’s DITO passes third technical audit

DITO Telecommunity has once again passed its annual technical audit–its third one since being declared as the country’s new major telco player.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, DITO said it received a notice from the National Telecommunications Commission that it had passed R.G. Manabat & Co.’s technical audit.

This means DITO was able to deliver a national population coverage of at least 70.01 percent and minimum average broadband speed of 55 Mbps in the third year of its commitment period.

The independent audit estimated that DITO’s national population coverage reached 72.39 percent, while minimum average broadband speeds delivered stood at 71.77 Mbps and 801 Mbps for all 4G and 5G sites, respectively.

“We continue to abide by – and even exceed – our commitments to government to improve speed and
coverage in the telco sector and bring real competition for the benefit of Filipino consumers,” DITO said in a statement.

“Related to this, we are grateful for the warm support of our more than 12 million subscribers as we stand behind our own commitment to bring world class connectivity to the Philippines,” it added.
